A majority of companies in India specially Bangalore have a Services Mindset. "Do as per the customers specifications". Building products, as Steve Jobs indicates, requires a different approach. It requires one to look further, dream ahead, and plan longer term. With reducing margins and uncertain exchange rates perhaps companies need to look at developing products providing value that can be multiplied several times, without multiplying the resources required to do it as is usually the case in services companies.
