Feb 7-9: Chikkamagalur Trip by NatureAdmire

"Dear Natureadmirers, Nature Admire is proposed to organise a two-day trekking, camping, campfire and leisure visit Chikkamagalur~ Kemmenagundi. ~258kms away lies the coffee, pepper, oranges, cardamom plantations, nestled in the Bababudan ranges of Chikkamagalur.

"Mullayanagiri is the highest mountain range in Karnataka, Kemmenagundi is also known as "K.R.Hill station". Here there is a falls descending in two stages at the height of 3,000ft known as "Hebbe falls". A small hill station rises at the height of 5,250ft. Bhadra wildlife
sanctuary is the home for tigers, panthers, elephants and deers. At Jaguar valley, where the Kemmenagundi is. Here is a small rooms, dormitories maintained by Karnataka Horticulture Department. This program is exclusively designed for families, groups, seniors or couples even individuals. Date: 7, 8 February 2009 (departure on 7th morning at 0630hrs and return back on 8th evening) Trip Highlights:

1. swimming or playing at Hebbe falls.

2. Trekking at "Shanti falls; Z-point, Raja seat, Hebbe falls.

3. Campire and camping.

Tariff: Rs 1999/- per head. Includes: 1. comfortable transportation. 2. Simple hygienic Veg food + Non-veg food (Limited to Chicken only) 3. Activities charges. 4. Forest entry fees. 5. Comfortable camping gears + Dormitory (Rooms for couples/families) 6.Instructor charges. Sample Itinerary:

Day 01
* 0630hrs- Departure from Bangalore (6hrs drive)
* 0800hrs- B/fast at Kyatsandra (famous thatte Idly- Plate idly)
* 1200hrs- Arrive Kemmenagundi after visit to Kalhatti falls. Checkin
to Dormitory or room, refresh.
* 1330hrs- Lunch break and relax.
* 1530hrs- Trek to Z-point, Raja seat, Shanti falls.
* 1730hrs- Tea and snacks.
* 1830hrs- Camping.
* 2030hrs- Dinner and campfire.
Day 02
* 0730hrs- b/fast and trek to "Hebbe Falls". (9kms downhill trek)
* 0930hrs- Refresh at falls.
* 1300hrs- Lunch break and relax.
* 1400hrs- Departure from here (6hrs drive) via Bababudanagiri Hills.
* 2200hrs- Arrive at Bangalore.
