Jun 29,30, Jul 1: BFS Presents: 'On The Road' Screenings
"was thinkin' about turquoise, I was thinkin' about gold, I was thinkin' about diamonds and the world's biggest necklace. As we rode through the canyons, through the devilish cold, I was thinkin' about Isis, how she thought I was so reckless. - Isis by Bob Dylan

Like so many pioneers and adventurers, cinema has always taken to the road in its search for answers. Bangalore Film Society is proud to present 'On the Road' a weekend of three classic road movies that ramble along the less beaten path in search of an elusive and essential truth.

Hailed as the most promising film by a debut director in contemporary cinema, The Return follows two young brothers who take a road trip with their father who turns up one day after a mysterious twelve year absence. As the journey proceeds the trip turns into a claustrophobic battle of wills between the father and sons and the father's real identity and true nature of the so called 'fishing trip' come under suspicion.
