The legendary John Doerr, along with Ray Lane and Ram Shriram will spend the evening with Members of TiE Bangalore in an interactive session.

They are actively looking to invest in companies in India and are keen to meet entrepreneurs and experienced professionals from the Indian industry. This is your chance to meet them, hear them and network with them.

About the Speakers:

John Doerr joined Intel in 1974 just as they invented the famous "8080" 8 bit microprocessor. At Intel, he held various engineering, marketing and management assignments, and was one of their top-ranked sales executives.

In 1980, he joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and sponsored a series of investments including Compaq, Cypress, Intuit, Macromedia, Netscape, Lotus, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, S3, Sun Microsystems, Amazon.com, and Symantec.

John was the founding CEO of Silicon Compilers and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Google, Intuit, Amazon.com, Homestore.com, and Sun Microsystems. He holds patents for computer memory devices he invented as a design engineer at Monsanto. Recent interests include education, the Internet and biotechnology

Ray Lane is General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. He has sponsored several investments for the firm aimed at improving enterprise productivity. He sits on the boards of Elance, Metamatrix, Virsa, Visible Path, Xsigo Systems, SpikeSource and PodShow.

Before joining KPCB, Ray was President and Chief Operating Officer of Oracle Corporation. Ray led Oracle's business expansion beyond its core database technology into enterprise applications and professional services. His previous assignments were with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, EDS and IBM.

Ram Shriram started Sherpalo in January, 2000, with the goal of applying his wealth of operating and company building experience to promising early stage ventures. Immediately prior to founding Sherpalo, Ram served as an officer of Amazon.com working for Jeff Bezos, founder & CEO. Ram came to Amazon.com in August, 1998, when Amazon acquired Junglee, an online comparison shopping firm of which Ram was president. Before Junglee and Amazon, Ram was a member of the Netscape executive team.

Ram is a founding board member of Google Inc. and 247customer.com.
