Pilot or Passenger?

# This morning, Air Deccan started a mega-sale of 50,000 seats on Rs 500-1500! News at New Indian Express, Economic Times.

# Pilot Error is the verdict on the cause of the Oct 9th incident of S2's Boeing (Kolkata-Mumbai flight) overhsooting the Mumbai runway. Turns out that the pilot Eric Verghese, did not have entry permission. How on earth (actually in air!) was he traveling as a passenger with a boarding pass is beyond me. Air Sahara has some explaining to do. In the meantime, S2 is being fined by The Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the losses to the tune of Rs 11 crore plus. The Air Passengers Association of India (APAI), is bringing out the negligence issue and seems to be on the offensive.

# On an unrelated note, the Air Passengers Association of India (APAI) is running a membership campaign for air passengers. For membership contact : 2836545 or SMS to 'apai' - 9840746050. AAPI seems to have been fairly active, demanding the audit of budget carriers and all. I did't know that there is such a body. They even have a website, for cryin out loud!
