NASSCOM's Quality Summit 2005 is an important milestone as it marks the maturity of the Indian IT industry through two decades of development. Today, India is making a mark in the technology revolution and is an important destination for top global ICT leaders. The Indian IT industry is also extending itself outward, providing familiar and new geographies with a vast array of solutions and services. The industry, which started with cost arbitrage, has since moved beyond to quality and productivity as its distinctive advantages. The Indian software companies have been very successful - with process models and quality having played an indispensable role in achieving software manufacturing excellence - and are now striving to reach the pinnacle of success viz. business excellence. The theme for NASSCOM Quality Summit 2005 is 'Leadership through Quality'. The Quality Summit 2005 will consist of four tutorials by 'Guru's' of the industry on 23rd August and Conference on the 24th-25th August 2005. The event will include key notes addressed by national and international speakers of repute and bring together, amongst others thought leaders from industry, academia and government in sharing their experiences and best practices in the area of Process Maturity, Business Excellence, metrics & benchmarking etc.
