I love Google. Who doesn't, anyway. But yesterday, I got one more (107.99 more actually) reason to love my beloved search engine even more: I got a cheque for $107.99 from Google Inc.!
Lest you should start thinking that the dough is my payola from a shady deal with google, allow me to clarify. The moolah is my payout for putting Google Ads on my site and on my blog. A small code from Google generates content-specific ads to appeal to the visitors of a particular site/blog. When someone clicks on a google ad, Google makes money from their advertisers. Google gives a part of that money to the site-owner, such as me. Neat model, eh!
I have put Google ads on total four pages on my website, and of course, on this blog. But the earnings are mainly from my Music page ($68), and from Radiocity page ($27). The other two pages, Indian Fusion/Rock Music, and Aviation, do just okay even though I would expect more from them as they do drive a lot of traffic to my site. This blog of mine, though, performs really poorly when it comes to making money! :)
