Modern-day Man Without A Country

Even though he is currently a 'wanted' man in the US, former world chess champion Bobby Fischer seems to be saying no to the offer, and is rather heading towards becoming the modern-day 'Man Without A Country' as he has decided to renounce his US citizenship. His website is already a 'Website Without a WebPage' (www!). Fischer, currently detained in Japan, is wanted by US authorities for playing (and winning) a 1992 match in Yugoslavia, thereby violating US and UN bans on doing business in Yugoslavia. Wonder what happens to a person's rights who does not belong to any country! What are the other examples of idiosyncratic, eccentric, swimming-against-the-stream behaviour of legendary geniuses?
