We start the trek from a sleepy village about 20 kms from Somwarpet. Initially we pass through villages and paddy fields gradually entering some hills with beautiful views of the Magindi waterfalls, Bisle ghat and the Pishpagiri Range. Spend some time here watching the beauty of the hills, forests and river flowing below falling into the Magundi falls and continuing along into the valley. Great spot for some nice shots. We continue passing a stream on the way and a small break to refresh over selves. After the forest check post we pass a stream where we will have lunch and then continue along through thicker forests with patches of bamboo groves frequented by elephants. The last stretch is a steep climb over hills and long rock faces some at 60 degree angles. Reach by late afternoon and pitch tents .View the beautiful scenery from the top of Kumaraparvatha. Later make a campfire and cook dinner.
